We facilitate a long-term collaboration between the Chinese and Icelandic publishing industries. By bringing Chinese and Icelandic writers, columnists, script-writers, literary critics, and translators together, we help them escalate their presence in the foreign publishing market by getting them better connected with the Chinese and Icelandic media groups, publishing houses and digital platforms. This can include but is not limited to:
 

  1. Assist Icelandic writers (and through their agents) in seeking opportunities to publish their sole-authored books in the Chinese market, and vice versa;

  2. Assist Icelandic writers in seeking opportunities for co-authoring or co-publishing in the Chinese market, and vice versa;

  3. Assist Icelandic writers in translating their short works or column articles, and seek opportunities to be published on Chinese newspapers and/or digital media platforms, and vice versa;

  4. Strengthen Icelandic writers’ social connections and together build a stronger representation/influence of Icelandic literature in the Chinese market, and vice versa;

  5. Assist Icelandic writers to participate in literature and publishing related events in China (e.g., Beijing International Book Fair, Shanghai International Book Fair, Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair, Shanghai Art Book Fair etc), and Chinese writers in Icelandic events (e.g., Reykjavík Book Fair);

  6. Increase Icelandic writers’ media coverage, public attention, and public reputation by setting up interviews with Chinese news agencies and media platforms, and vice versa. 

Publishing

Filming

We seek opportunities for a broader cooperation between China and Iceland in the film industry engaging all film-making practitioners in the two countries. This can include but is not limited to:

  1. Assist Chinese filmmakers to be better connected with Icelandic filmmakers when they need to carry out their filming projects (e.g., movies, tv series, variety shows, reality shows, commercials, photo-shootings, etc) in Iceland, and vice versa;

  2. Ignite Chinese and Icelandic filmmakers’ inspiration of integrating each other’s environment, landscape, culture, and people into their filming projects;

  3. Assist Chinese and Icelandic filmmakers to transfer the copyrights of their works (and through their production firms/studios/agencies) and help their works to be displayed and screened in both countries;

  4. Strengthen Icelandic filmmakers’ social connections and together build a stronger representation/influence of Icelandic film industry in the Chinese market, and vice versa;

  5. Assist Icelandic and Chinese filmmakers to participate in film events in both countries including Beijing International Film Festival, Shanghai International Film Festival, Reykjavík International Film Festival, Stockfish Film Festival, etc;

  6. Increase Icelandic filmmakers’ media coverage, public attention, and public reputation by setting up interviews with Chinese news agencies and media platforms, and vice versa. 

Music Room

Music

We enhance musical communications and connections between China and Iceland engaging all music practitioners in the two countries. This can include but is not limited to:
 

  1. Assist Chinese and Icelandic musicians to be better connected with each other’s music industry when they need to carry out their music projects (e.g., performing, composing, creating, recording, selling, etc);

  2. Assist Chinese and Icelandic musicians to transfer the copyrights of their works (and through their signed agents) and help their works to be presented in both countries;

  3. Promote Icelandic musicians’ works on Chinese digital platforms/social medias (e.g., Douyin/Tik Tok), and vice versa;

  4. Strengthen Icelandic musicians’ social connections and together build a stronger representation/influence of Icelandic music industry in the Chinese market, and vice versa;

  5. Assist Icelandic and Chinese musicians to participate in music events in each others countries including Shanghai Spring International Music Festival, Strawberry Music Festival, Iceland Airwaves, Secret Solstice, etc;

  6. Increase Icelandic musicians’ media coverage, public attention, and public reputation by setting up interviews with Chinese news agencies and media platforms, and vice versa.
